關于NSL
The Ten80 National STEM League is Project-Based Learning that can help students learn the skills to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere while also learning why mathematics and physics are helpful. There is a place for all students to contribute to the team through race engineering, coding and automation, design and fabrication, graphic design, marketing, community outreach and data-driven design projects that ask students to follow their own interests.
美國STEM大聯盟杯（National STEM League，以下簡稱NSL）是美國最具創新和深受學生熱愛的STEM活動之一。NSL以納斯卡賽車為原型，學生通過運營一家屬于自己的科技賽車公司，擔任不同的角色（車隊經理、工程師、賽車手、商務外聯、設計師、媒體公關等），學習50學時全PBL（問題式學習）設計課程來完成各項挑戰。在奧巴馬政府期間，NSL從全美2000多個STEM項目中脫穎而出，被評為全美四大優質STEM項目：最具課程完整度、最具有效性、最具可復制性。
As the exclusive partner of Ten80 in China, SKT introduced the NSL to China in 2017. This year the event was held in Shanghai, gathering more than 200 students from 30 teams of different schools.
美國STEM大聯盟杯由美國Ten80教育集團舉辦，Ten80是美國最專業的STEM課程研發、教師培訓和活動運營平臺。作為Ten80在中國的獨家合作伙伴——SKT思珂教育集團由2017年開始引入美國STEM大聯盟杯，首年共有2所學校的4支隊伍參與美國終點站。2018年是SKT首次舉辦中國站活動，本次活動于2018年12月15日-16日在上海舉辦，共有來自全國5大區、10多個城市、16所學校、30個車隊的200多名初高中學生齊聚一堂，一決高下！

瑋希ONE戰隊
This September, Changsha WES Academy started an Automotive Engineering and Design project in school collaboratively with SKT. Led by Mr. Victor Liao, six students from Bilingual Lower Secondary participated in the League and won the Grand Champion. This team is named ONE!
2018年9月，長沙瑋希國際學校與SKT合作在我校正式開設了智能競速賽車興趣小組課程，經過三個多月的學習和磨合，在廖老師的指導和帶領下，由瑋希雙語初中部的六位同學組成的ONE戰隊經過激烈的角逐和艱辛的努力，終于獲得了美國STEM大聯盟杯中國賽區初中組第一名的好成績！
The paticipants had to assess and modify all aspects of the car performance to create a car with optimum performance. Our team ONE won three car racing challenges and a design challenge (team logo and car body), which led us to the Grand Champion.
本次比賽的參賽車隊需要根據參賽要求，現場改裝智能車，并通過答辯來闡釋改裝思路，演講來進行形象展示，從而完成賽道上的四項操控挑戰和兩項展示挑戰。我校ONE戰隊的隊員們不懼艱辛、精誠合作，在四項操控挑戰中獲得了三項單項冠軍（進站維修合作挑戰賽冠軍、10分鐘最多彎道圈數賽冠軍、30分鐘耐力賽冠軍），并獲得展示挑戰賽中logo和車體設計冠軍，最終在初中組的團體賽中，殺出重圍獲得初中組的總冠軍！！
On Day 1, team ONE got the 1st place in Pit Crew Challenge easily.
短短兩天的比賽，緊張而曲折。第一天的重頭戲是初中組進站維修合作挑戰賽，我們長沙瑋希國際學校的ONE車隊先下一城，贏得比較輕松。
Day 2 started with the Best Single Lap, unfortunately Eason's car broke down on the way. However he was not defeated. He offered to take part in the next game instead. Soon, he won two challenges together with other team members.
第二天，全體隊員早早剛到比賽現場。車手試開了好幾十圈，感覺不錯。9:30，單圈最快速度比拼開始。沒想到的是，我們的車剛開半圈就拋錨了。按原計劃我們是換賽車手。這時候，Eason同學，主動要求繼續參加下一場比賽，希望在哪里跌倒，就在哪里爬起來。主教練廖老師，基于平常對Eason的了解和信任，同意了他的想法。在接下來的比賽中，Eason同學和小伙伴們連續拿下了兩個單項冠軍。
Kitty and Lilly also did a great job in their presentations and they won the 1st place for logo and car body design.
兩位設計師Kitty和Lilly同學，在形象展示環節的表現也是精彩紛呈，她們為車隊捧回了一座logo和車體設計冠軍獎杯。
Reflection
成長感悟
We will like to thank the school, teachers and parents for supporting the participants. Here below the students shared some of their thoughts and reflections:
本次參賽，得到了學校各級領導和老師們，還有家長的大力支持，是同學們辛勤付出后的一次收獲之旅。通過這場比賽，參賽的隊員們不僅收獲了成功的喜悅，更是享受競賽過程中獲得的成長感悟：
Eason 易洲成
Team spirit is important; Remain calm and patient.
這次活動我感受比較大的有兩點。
第一，一個團隊要有一個團隊的精神，不要因為一個人的事而影響到了整個團體。
第二，遇到什么事情都不要急躁。急躁反而會辦不好事情。也就是說心急吃不了熱豆腐。我們做什么事都要鎮定冷靜。
以上兩點就是我對這次活動最大的感受。
Kitty 廖容
I am so tired... but I did learn things. On one hand, we shouldn't quarrel during the game as it affects the team. We should learn to control our emotions. On the other hand, design requires originality.

這兩天下來，整個人都快累趴下了……
媽呀，太累了………………
好了，說正事兒：
這兩天，四場比賽，一段演講，加上一個評選，N次會議，X次爭執，A次互懟，雖然令我有點疲憊，但我也學到了不少東西：
一，比賽過程中無論如何不能吵架，吵架對團隊的影響非常不好。
二，設計的時候，要找一個標志性的圖案，否則不能讓別人印象深刻——我們組就是沒有標志性圖案，才會不夠醒目（雖然最后還是冠軍）。
三，比賽會讓人心情急躁，所以在比賽時控制好情緒是非常important的。一旦沒有控制好，吵起來，80%涼涼。這是我親身體驗的。
我學到的絕對不止這些，但由于篇幅有限，就不一一在此羅列了，byebye～
Lilly 戴瑾瑜
I worked mainly for the car body and booth design. Motif is to the design what goal is to our life.
大家好，我是Lilly，我是本隊的副設計師和形象大使，主要是負責本隊的車殼和展臺的設計與布置。在設計時，要明確主題，其實就像是一個人在生活中一樣，如果沒有努力的方向（目標）是很難成功的。
Cathy 曾思佳
I am the engineer in the team. I modify and debug cars. I heard one saying in the game and loved it: Teach for the unknown and learn for the future. I am more interested in automotive engineering now.
我是ONE戰隊的工程師曾思佳Cathy，主要是負責賽車的改裝和調試。
在這次比賽有句話我特別喜歡：為未知而教，為未來而學。
通過這次比賽，我對汽車工程的興趣更濃厚了。
Hank 唐文洪
I learned that we shouldn't always blame others. Also, in a racing game, you should find the balance between playing fast and playing safe. We're a team!
這次活動我的感受就是不要總是責怪他人，還有不要總是為一些小事情鬧的傷了和氣。前期的準備和后期的比賽都要穩一點，不要求快。千萬記住，我們是個團隊，我們不是一個人在戰斗！
Sean 許亦韓
I'm the team manager. We feel very honored to win the Grand Champion as a team representing Hunan and even Central China. This achievement belongs to the whole team and the school. Thank you, teachers, friends and WES!
我是ONE 車隊的經理Sean Xu，我們很榮幸的在比賽中拿到了初中組第一的成績。這不只是我一個人的榮耀，是我們車隊所有人，乃至整個湖南省的榮耀，我們是代表著整個華中地區參賽的。拿到第一不是因為我一個人的努力，而是整個團隊的努力和瑋希師生的幫助，我在此表示感謝，感謝老師的幫助，感謝同學的支持，感謝學校的贊助以及學校給予我們參賽的機會。謝謝大家的支持！
Team ONE impressed us with their performance in the NSL China Invitational by using knowledge of physics, mathematics, art design and other related knowledge to solve problems with creativity. Small steps get us to faraway places. We hope every small effort of our students in school will help them to head for greater future success!
美國STEM大聯盟杯2018中國站的比賽旨在聯合課程與挑戰，以解決問題為導向，培養學生運用工程思維不斷創新、尋找最優解決方案的思維和能力。此次大賽，參賽的隊員們所表現出的這些解決問題的優秀能力，真正體現出了長沙瑋希國際學校培養學生的目標和方向，不積跬步無以至千里，我們盼望著瑋希的學子們通過每天在學校收獲的一小步，逐步踏上其人生的成功之路！
